It was a hard weekend as fans of the band had to drive to three states and four gigs to keep up with our favorite hard banging rock band. As we discussed last week, it appears as though Kimster has split for the twin cities, while Adam is off “experimenting” with pounding out rhythms in the burbs. Silent Brian is still backing Mel's monster vocals.

Couldn't make it to the Kimster's first gig in the Twin Cities, but Rockin' Tim made it down to the Hideout for a farewell with her in an acoustic set. Kim was complaining to the crowd that her stuff was stuck in a snow drift on the North Side and that she was looking forward to squeezing some amps for us in the spring when she'd be back with the Ferrets, a band she played with in the distant past.

Meanwhile in the burbs, Adam exploded a drum head and pounded the crap out of a bunch of cymbals in a Palatine set before heading into the Road House in Janesville to sit in with some boys from down South. It was a note bend time crunching set that put the entire house on edge. As one boy near me screamed “I don't understand!!!”

Mel and Brian were apparently trying a new set of tunes without Adam and Kim as they were unbooked on Saturday. The long weekend putting some serious time together for this fearsome twosome in the garage as they prepared to take on the world again.

Breakup and smashup; Kim back to MN, Adam busted again

Nimble blogger Janester reports that she ran into Kim "the Crash" on the street today. She said "F Them" when asked about the band. This looks bad as the Crash was recently reported in Minn with her old band. Reports that she is wanted for trashing the Motel 6 in Evansville were unconfirmed.

Also, apparently head banger Adam has run afoul of the law again. Officer Miller of the Buffalo Grove police told the local Pioneer paper that if he wasn't a huge fan of PN, Adam would be cooling his heels behind bars for violations of off ramp procedures.

Finally rumors out of Niles, Il that Adam has been headbanging with another band. It just looks as if the band has splintered, with only Slim Silent Brian and Movin' Mel carrying on with the trad. Maybe they'll bring in a guest for their appearance in Valpo this weekend? I'm hoping not as it just sucked when Styx played with them last year at UMSL. They've got their own unique sound and they shouldn't compromise it for commercial reasons. Hoping they get together.

Kim could be out!

A bit of sadness here. One of our favorite rock bands had a HUGE blowout fight last night. I'm talking of course about PSYCHO NEIGHBOR. I'm not sure they have the FaceBook page up yet, but these guys are terrific.

Anyway, last night, one of the two female vocalists was shown the door by two other members of the band. Right in the middle of a gig too! I mean, what are the chances of that happening? Kim, who is known to smash up furniture and is just a generally destructive rocker in the image of the WHO, was threatening the vocal abilities of the young lead, Mel in the last month as the band expanded beyond its traditional list of cover tunes.

Now I don't know the whereabouts of Adam, the percussionist, but apparently there was an on-stage argument about missing the beat and artistic license. It didn't end well for Kim, always a favorite of mine and, I believe, one of the key forces for the creation of the band too. As Brian, the strong silent type guitarist, went along with Mel. There were tears of rage and all that rock stuff. More as I get word of what really happened.
